National Institute of Standards and Technology Selects Powertek for Competitive 5-year Desktop Support Services Contract
Rockville, MD – The Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) announced today that it has awarded a 5-year competitive contract to Powertek to provide desktop and embedded information technology services. Under this contract, Powertek will support the NIST scientific community of 4,500+ geographically dispersed users by responding to and resolving approximately 9,000 incidents annually and managing NIST nationwide hardware and software rollouts. Technology platforms will include desktops, notebooks, ultrabooks, workstations, tablets, and smartphones running Windows, Apple OS, iOS, and Android OS.
